USING THE KODAK DC40

When the lens cover is flicked open, the display at the rear will become active. The Feature (t) and Select buttons are used to choose and adjust features such as flash, timer and exposure controls.

The exposure control is useful when shooting important subjects in shadows.

 

This correction factor is also available within the supporting image manipulation software such as Image Enhancer or Photoshop.

 

Using the camera is simple.

1. Turn on.

2. Point and shoot.

3. Download the camera to the computer using the cable from the camera to the printer port AFTER TURNING OFF APPLETALK (in the Chooser).

Use the AC power cord to save the camera batteries as downloading takes 10 to 20 minutes depending on how many of the possible 48 shots you have taken.

Waking the camera. The camera reverts to an inactive mode if not used for 60 seconds. Press the Feature, Select or Shutter button to return it to the active state.

Erasing All Pictures. Use the Feature button to locate () above the All Pictures icon

Press the top of the Select button. The All Pictures icon will blink and the Warning Icon will appear next to the Battery icon. Press the top of the Select button again . The All Pictures icon will continue blinking as the pictures are deleted. A beep sound will indicate the completion. 48 will appear in the Display window again.
