The following sites are
a good place to start researching Sparta on the
Internet.

Everything
Spartan, Laconian and Messenian

with a really useful links page. Has many pictures of modern day
Sparta allowing you to appreciate what a truly frugal society they
were! Good information and relevant information
E
Museum
- This
particular page has some fabulous graphics of ancient Spartan
artwork. Good page to look at as Spartan artwork (other than
poetry and writing) is often difficult to track down on the
Internet
Spartan

site. This site is set up by an organisation dedicated to the
study of ancient Sparta. Good idea to use the search mechanism to
avoid getting bogged down it the extra information

- Site set up by
California State University, Northridge in the United States. Has
many good ancient sources and texts
Sparta:
Her people, Her Culture, Her Legacy
- Another University
site, this time University of Texas in the United States. Has some
very good articles. However it is set up by a group of students

of Sparta. The site also still is under some
construction
