Old Kingdom Religion
Throughout Ancient Egypt, the gods played a major role in the daily lives of each citizen. Egyptian religion was centered around a large number of deities with both animal and human forms.
The Ancient Egyptians also had a strong belief in the afterlife. They believed that the body would be used in the afterlife, and so all Egyptians were mummified (to different qualities & extents based mainly on wealth), with their vital organs placed in Canopic Jars.
