Hi, When i a writing the setting etc would it be more effective if i changed it to a more modern atmosphere or just leave it the way it was.

I think this is a good question. You really need to consider as part of the whole production issue, that is in terms of language, costumes, setting, actor etc. For example-the idea of type casting- I think that some actors are just better suited to 'modern' or even futuristic type settings, whilst other actors are just so 'old fashioned' and you could only imagine them in such movies.
