I am having trouble trying to pick a suitable actress for my production of Macbeth. From the play, I perceive her as being the dominating character throughout the play. She has a very strong-willed personality and I consider her to be more ambitious than Macbeth. The chosen actress would also have to be able to emphasise Lady Macbeth's loss of courage and change in character. A very dramatic perception of Lady Macbeth's "fragile state" will be needed. I was wondering whether anyone had any suitable ideas for an actress to fit this part?
