zeros of LaPlace transform

The LaPlace transform of a function f(t) may be considered as a function of the complex variable ,s ( the one that appears in exp(-st). This complex -valued function may or may not have zeros . Is anything known about these zeros depending on what f(t) is? I can be reached at eliot@mathtechinc.com
