Fibonnaci

alpha

Sorry if the spelling is inaccurate, never can remember how to spell it. But my simple question is: Does people still pay attention to the Fibonnaci series ?? (0,1,1,2,3,5,8,13,.....)(f(n)=(f(n-1)+f(n-2))) And the golden number phi. People that know stuff about the series, please publish here, maybe you know something I don't. /Thanks

Yes they do if they claim to have knowledge of mathematics, physics, etc.

Hello there. I certainly still care about Fibriccani's (? spelling) sequence. I've recently disovered it while surfing the internet. The golden spiral, which can be easily derived using the sequence, or a simpler method, the formula (1+ sr5/2) is the ideal rate of growth. Personally I think that this is excrutiatinly important for better understanding biology, and life in general. The spiral drives people crazy, as does the golden mean, the golden rectangle, and for godsakes the golden triangle. Just look it up on the internet, you'll find a vast variety of information. Happy hunting!

Hey! I recently found out what the fibonnaci sequence is by one of my professers. I found it very interesting because it has to do with life and biology. It's so interesting that when I was given an assingment on a person who invented something that's important in the world, I picked Fibonnaci. Did you know his real name is Leonardo Pisono? Well, not that his real name is important or anything, but it's just interesting. The interenet has so much to offer. I've found everything I know about Fibonnaci off the internet from askjeeves. Good luck finding stuff about Fibonnacie alpah!

Fibonnaci gives almost endless mathematical fun, if you like that sort of thing. One of the coolest things that I've come across is this. Take any four consecutive fibonnaci numbers (eg 1, 1, 2, 3). The product of the first and fourth gives one side of a right angled triangle. Doubling the product of the second and third gives the other right angled side. Once you know this, its really easy to generate Pythagorean triangles. It's not just about sunflowers and pineapples!

excuse me but is there any information about the fibonnaci numbers because i have to do a math project on it.

I think Fibonnaci is the most boring person I have ever known. He is full of shit and I don't have clue what he is talking about.

This is really stupid. The only thing I learned on this site is that Pethagorean Triple thing. Well, just to let you know, when a number later on in the sequence is divided by the number previous to it, the quotient is the golden ratio.

The people who respond with swearing and ignorance are wasting their own time as well as everyone elses who actually want to learn something! If you took the time to find out, you'd discoverthat Fibonnaci's number series is fascinating and very relevant in all sorts of ways.

I am reviewing for a test. I found that the Fibbonaci number simply verifies the handiwork of the Creator. It tells of His design for the things all around us, and it tells us that He loves us and has a plan likewise for our lives. The things in nature are but a faint relection of the magnitude of God's amazing creations. Think About It!
