I am writing a paper for my Writing as Critical Thinking class, and I have chosen the topic on censorship. I am studying to be a secondary band teacher and a controversial topic I ran across was the censorship of music on today's radios. I am curious as to see how people feel about the way censorship is being held. -thanks

we should not have censorship becuase it doesn't let artist say what they want. Anyways kids will learn about drugs and sex and violence later on in there lives so why not earlier. You should explain what is right and wrong and what to do and what not to do. If they know that doing drugs is wrong and that it can kill you then they will know it is bad because kids know that death is bad so they won't want to die. Its the same with violence yes boys are more violent than girls and most rap songs talk about violence but if they know what it can do and how bad it is then i bet that they will not grow up hateing people. Also if they can be expossed to more love then hate they will grow up happy and not hate people. So if people say that certain songs promote violence well thats becuase they were expossed to violence at a young age. Well i think censorship should be aloud, so what do you think?

i think that its peoples fault that there censorship today, especialy teens. people say that censorship is gay and dumb and it is but its thier own fault. teens these days, not all of them, just some, listen to things like eminem, Ja Rule and stuff and take it the wrong way. i have to agree that theres other things too but i think that some music is also to blame.
but i just want to say censorship was brought here cause of the stupid people who took the swearing and images expressed literaly and go and do dumb things like smoke, start swearing, taking drugs, or other shit. Its thier own fault. but i'm not saying that music is the whole blame, some people just don't have a brain. Music is there so people can speak thier mind of how they feel or how they look at a certain issue, this dosn't give anyone a right to copy them and try to do what they do.
just listen and enjoy music, thats the main reason its here!!
