I hope your stay with us will be rewarding for you, both personally and professionally. The Faculty of Education and Social Work is one of the largest and most highly respected in Australia and you can be assured the programs of study you will pursue will be based on up-to-date research and best practice. I am sure you will find them stimulating and thought provoking.
The introduction of the Master of Teaching in 1997 marked a new and challenging approach to teacher education, one that will both prepare you for teaching in contemporary schools and also orient you to major educational changes in the future.
The twenty-first century will be the era of information age technology and the knowledge society. The Faculty is well placed to provide you with both the foundation and the continuing development of a career in education.
